Iranian Red Sheep

Buckhorn Ranch has some of the best sheep hunting in Texas! Our rocky and rugged terrain will ensure that you have the hunt of a lifetime. The red sheep is believed to be a hybrid between the Armenian mouflon and the Transcaspian urial that occurs naturally in the Alborz Mountains of northern Iran and the Kavir Desert of north-central Iran. Its offspring are fertile, and as a hybrid, its characteristics will vary.
